It was the first day of Christmas and everyone was cranky. I was, because I wanted a magic box and not a pair of socks. Dad was, because he wanted a digital camera and not a puzzle-book. Mum wanted peace and quiet, and smiling faces. But everyone was arguing. And my little sister didn’t want to come downstairs. ‘It’s Christmas! A baby is born!’ she yelled. Will this ‘baby’ bring the family closer together?
In this book, the first one I made with Merel Eyckerman, all the elements of the traditional Christmas Story are to be found and discovered, and despite the cranky opening of the story, the ending is very warm and peaceful!
